An exhibition “Allegory
of High Heel” containing brand
new creative works by Oleksandr Voytovych taked place in “Green
Sofa” gallery
since the 28th October.
His works are remarkably soft and sensually loaded. Oleksandr
is brilliant at drawing and colour. Constant theme of all his
works is a woman, not the simple one, the one wearing high heels...
Let us have a look at the high heel, or as it sounds in Galician
dialect, “obcas”. This particular invevtion of the
human kind does not help the women to move along the city streets,
it does not make it more comfortable either. Nevertheless, it
associates to the magiority of men with the woman’s grace
and beauty. And the most paradoxal here is the fact that obcas
— is the truest female, though it sounds unreal... The very
image of a woman is not what she really is... It is a sheer pleasure!
So enjoy it...
