“Love of emerald grasshoppers” 21st of April – 10th of May 2009.
Curator and idea of a project – Ostap Patyk.

The description of the project:
In the summer of 2008 six Lvivian Artists made a trip-plenair to the Shatski lakes and the creative results of their trip will be presented on the exhibition in the Green Sofa Gallery.
Petro Starukh has written “ Love of emerald grasshoppers” that will be published and available for the literature lovers.
One of the heroes – Kitchen god will cook one of his masterpieces.
Oleksandr Korovay will present his photos from the trip.
Paintings and sculptures will comprise the exhibition of the Green Sofa Gallery.

The opening will be on the 21st of April 2009 – the first Tuesday after the Easter.

Ostap Patyk was born on the 6th of November1964. Graduated Lviv Art College and Lviv Academy of Art. Participant of more than 35 exhibitions (including 3 international) He worked as a chief artist of the theatre “Cheer up” and Celebrations of the Day of Lviv. Recently he works as an organiser of different artistic projects – a trip to Turkey and an exhibition in the Green Sofa Gallery, in 2008 – trip to Volyn and he has planned a trip to Kazakhstan in 2009.

Oleksandr Korovay was born in 1959, he graduated Lviv Art Academy in 1981, He is a participant of numerous exhibitions in the world and Ukraine. He works as a teacher of design. He works in the field of monumental sculpture. Lives and works in Lviv.

Roman Patyk – a cousin of Ostap Patyk, was born in 1955. Graduated Lviv Art Academy. He is a member of a Union of Designers of Ukraine. He took part in more than 30 exhibitions. He works in the field of monumental painting, mosaics and sculpture.

Petro Smetana was born in 1985 in Sambir. In 2008 he graduated National University of wood technologies. In 2007 he took part in 2 group exhibitions in the Green Sofa Gallery. And also in the whole-Ukrainian exhibition “Triennual of painting”, “Picturesque Ukraine” in Kiev. He is also a participant of 5 parts of the project – “Rainbow” in 2007-2008. He is a pupil and a partner of Ostap Patyk.

For Taras Petryshyn this is the first exhibition in his creative biography.
