On the 10th of March the Green Sofa Gallery opens a personal exhibition of Ivan Protsiv entitled "The women of the world". This is the name of a cycle of works and a part of it will be presented in the exhibition. "The women of the world" are of different nationalities, backgrounds and status, but all of them are beautiful, self-sufficient and full of decency. Ivan Protsiv is above all a graphician, and graphic background of his canvases along with national costumes create common melody of a garmonical image of a woman of the world.

Ivan Protsiv was born in 1958 in the village Kniazholuka, Ivano-fcrankivsk. He graduated Lviv Art collage named after Ivan Trush in 1977 and Lviv Art Academy in 1984. He got a degree in designing of interiors. He is a member of Union of Artists in Ukraine. His speciality is graphics and sacral art ( Church of Saint Anna in Lviv and Church of Vasilians in Zolochiv).

Since the 1986 he is an active participant of more than 20 regional and international exhibitions. He is also the author of 10 personal exhibitions in Kiev, Lviv, Toronto.

Honoured person in Arts in Ukraine. A lot of his works are posessed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
