On the 30th of October the Green Sofa Gallery presented a new exhibition of Olia Kvasha.
Her painting is like a colorful childs dream. Clear rainbowy colors, all the objects are of definite, almost geometric form filled with magic strokes and woven, like in a braid, in a rhythmical ornament. Her world is magically naive; it is a unique world of a fairy tale, purity and ethno aesthetics. And the painting of Olia Kvasha wonderfully combines all of them.
Olga Kvasha was born in 1976 in Lutsk; she graduated Lviv Academy of Art in 1999. She lives and works in Lviv. She took part in more than 20 exhibitions in Ukraine and Poland. In 1998 there was her personal exhibition in art club Lialka, CAC Dzyga and in 2003 there were personal exhibitions in a Kazimezhski castle in Poland, in 2004 personal exhibition in Krajnia Hata Gallery, Lutsk.
