On Friday, the third of April, the Green Sofa Gallery launches a project of an Artist from Odessa, Victor Kolosov “Actings persons”. In this exhibition there will be paintings from different periods as well as absolutely new along with the installation or aromamedeiaproject which is called “Nostril into nostril”.

Creativity of Victor Kolosov is unusual, a little naughty for Lviv and its artistic school, sometimes satirical, maybe provocative and shocking. Victor Kolosov says about himself:

I regard myself like a self-taught person, however I’ve got basic education in well known Russian art studio.

I was unpredictable person that time and my oficial education ended soon. Expulsion from studio forsed me to study art usin own way. I steel learning hard, believe me. In the painting I feel myself a real outsider right from my childhood. I have never accepted in full measure any standards, art forms, stiles, or group rules, in spite of the fact, that my lovely painters are the same persons as for other artists. My credo is to stay free in cooperation with own predilections choosing for the picture suitable technique and stile of painting, rather than work deep inside an typical manner. The community ever tried to consider me like an useless or discard person because of my specific view to the life. All my works are inspired by ordinary human actions or by simple objects. They force me to express full-size respect to their invisible structure and built in extraor dinary magic peculiar to every single moment of our life. So, emotional element of my pictures remains as the most important thing.

Biography:
Was born in Rostov-on-Don. In the 70-tieth shortly studied in Rostov Grekov Art Collage.
In the 1980 graduated sea collage and still works as a саptain`s assistant.
In 1984 he moved to live in Odessa.
In the 90-tieth he started painting
From 1993 he took part in numerous exhibitions in Odessa, Moscow.
From 2005 – he is the author of 6 personal exhibitions in Odessa and Kiev.
